In 2018, with the goal of empowering parents, Maharsha reduced fees to an affordable rate. The decision enabled parents to pay tuition in a dignified and responsible manner
The result was that 92% of the parent body paid full fees in 2018.
In 2019 the fee structure was maintained, with nearly 100% of parents meeting the fee requirement.
The quality of education remains extremely high. Matric results continue, on average, to surpass many private schools and our students are equipped with an education that allows them to thrive in both the highest standard of yeshivas and seminaries as well as universities.
Rather than abating, the financial crises has deepened. Maharsha is sensitive to the tremendous financial pressure that parents and the greater community are under. As a consequence, we will continue to do the utmost to meet the needs of the tzibur and will keep the 2020 fee structure in place for the 2020 academic year.
The Maharsha model is a courageous one. It is an approach that, given the support of the community is proving to be a sustainable and successful
How Does It Work
School fees are charged on a per child per month basis. There are no additional school or security levies.
Fees are payable by debit order only. These run on the 1st business day of every month, from January to December.
Consistent and predictable income is a cornerstone of this fee model, and parents are therefore impressed upon to make timeous payments.
Parents and family who are in a position to donate funds to meet the school deficit are encouraged to come forward and those who have already done so, are encouraged to continue to do so.
Maharsha thanks all those who have contributed and who have assisted in sustaining the innovative School Fees model.
